Stokebury Group

This is a brief summary of the activities of our local group. We meet monthly in the Stokebury Centre in Amersham and out of a membership of around 50, about 30 + attend these meetings.
A quarterly programme is compiled to try to interest everyone and it includes weekend meals - either Saturday evenings or Sunday lunches - the Sunday lunch is usually preceded by a short walk in our lovely countryside.
The programme also includes theatre trips, film evenings and visits to London. Members open up their homes for weekend meals and these are very popular.
The companionship gained from these get-togethers often results in people organising other small trips and holidays.
Woodside Group

The Woodside Group continues to meet regularly on Wednesday mornings in the Free Church hall in Amersham. Most Wednesdays the group is happy to meet with friends and enjoy a coffee and a chat. Some go on for lunch at a local pub.
Last summer a garden picnic lunch was enjoyed. In the autumn we had a fish and chip lunch in the Hall. In December we had a Christmas lunch at a local Golf Clubhouse. Recently a buffet lunch was prepared by some of the ladies and served in the Hall. Occasionally coach trips are arranged.
