Chiltern & Beaconsfield Cruse
Help for the bereaved in the Chilterns & South Bucks
How Chiltern & Beaconsfield Cruse Can Help
The death of someone we love, who matters to us, is a devastating experience. We are faced with the painful and daunting task of coping with all that bereavement brings and with the challenge of finding a new sense of life and purpose. All of this takes time - nearly always longer than we think - and help of many kinds may be needed.
We offer a caring and understanding person for you to talk with in complete confidence:
- On a one-to-one basis
- In your own home
- For as long as you need
If your bereavement is the result of a suicide you will be welcomed at our Bereavement by Suicide Group. This is a small group where you can share your feelings and problems with people who can identify with your personal needs.
Each Cruse bereavement volunteer is chosen with great care and is also specially trained.
If you need more support or would simply like more information please complete our enquiry form or if you prefer you can telephone us. If you phone on Wednesday mornings between 10.30am and 12 noon you can speak to one of our volunteers. At any other time you can leave a message on our answerphone and a Cruse volunteer will contact you as soon as possible.
Social Groups
Cruse social groups help people to take the first steps towards making new friends in a safe and comfortable environment, with others who have been through similar experiences. The Chiltern & Beaconsfield Cruse Social Groups meet at different times of the day to cater for wide ranges of ages and interests:-
- The Woodside Group meets on Wednesday mornings for coffee in the Free Church, Amersham - lunches and visits are also arranged.
- The Stokebury Group has evening meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in Old Amersham and arranges a wide variety of weekend activities for its members.
To request support or obtain more information on how we can help please complete our enquiry form or telephone us.
